Safe Sanctuaries Policy
At First United Methodist Church of Alabaster, every volunteer who works with students under the age of 18 must be trained in Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures.
Safe Sanctuary is a set of policies and procedures for protecting the most vulnerable among us including those under 18 and vulnerable adults.
It provides protection for our staff, volunteers, and ministries, and it serves as an important way of communicating that our churches are safe and welcoming to the most vulnerable.
Various training sessions are held both virtually and in person throughout the year.
